Learning from Past Experience; Designing a Better Future: DDRR in Northern Uganda (May 08)
The research commissioned by Civil Society Organisations for peace in Northern Uganda (CSOPNU), a coalition of 78 local and international civil society organizations working towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Northern Uganda was undertaken in February and March of 2008. The research was commissioned to act as a contribution to the discussions and agreements on disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) for ex-LRA combatants, and to provide lessons learned and recommendations for implementation of DDR in Uganda.
