FPA members responded to the June 22, 2006 New Vision editorial "War in the north is not genocide" by submitting letters to the New Vision and The Monitor. Dr. Okot Nyormoi's article was published in the New Vision and Ms. Carolyn Edson's published in The Monitor. Both pieces were edited. In particular, Dr. Nyormoi's 7-paragraph letter was strategically reduced to 8 sentences; the heading of the published letter-- "Ochola has always spoken his mind." Ms. Edson's piece survived mostly intact. Following are the published and original full-text versions.
